Sculptor in the Wild
I started my career in 1997. My art consists of sculptures, installations and environmental art. In the core of my work are natural resources such as willow, birch bark and different plant parts. I use steel to compliment them.
I get my inspiration from Finnish mythology and forestry fables. I feel most comfortable in the wilderness. Nature, to me, is like a second nationality and a second language. The environment gives me a sense of serenity that enables me to have a better understanding of time, boundaries, good and bad in the world.
During my career I have participated in numerous private and public art exhibitions, such as TUOHI exhibition in Akseli Gallen-Kallela Museum. My artworks can be found in the State Art Deposit Collection of Finland and the collections of  The City of Helsinki and Saastamoinen Foundation.
I work in the Western Uusimaa in Finland. You can take a look at my art works here.
